Singer Şəbnəm Tovuzlu has encountered a health problem.
Milli.Az reports that the cause was her taking a weight loss medication. Poet Nazilə Səfərli shared this information. She stated that Şəbnəm's heart gave out and her health deteriorated the day before:
"I was visiting Şəbnəm’s place. I called but she did not answer. Her daughter answered the phone saying her mother’s condition had worsened. She had taken weight loss medication and also drank lemon water. She got dizzy and collapsed. Her blood pressure dropped. They want to give her syrup, but her mouth won’t open. Her blood pressure dropped to 60. Şəbnəm opened her eyes as the Quran was recited above her head. Do not take weight loss medication. Şəbnəm died within 5 minutes; foam was coming from her mouth."
