Singer Rəqsanə İsmayılova claimed in one of her interviews that she read 300 books during her three-month imprisonment. This sparked extensive discussions on social networks.
But is it possible to read 300 books in 3 months?
Baku TV addressed this question to the residents of the capital.
One resident said: "It's not possible. She would have to not sleep at night to finish reading those books."
Another resident said: "Maybe she did read them. Because she might have had a lot of free time during her imprisonment."
Book blogger Sərxan Rüstəmov noted that usually people read two books per month, which equals 24 books a year: "This is a normal indicator. Reading 300 books in 3 months is not serious. During that time, it’s only possible to read the titles of the books. Reading 300 books in 3 months means reading more than three books a day. This is an unrealistic thought. Probably Ms. Rəqsanə confuses singing songs with reading books. In three months, one can only sing 300 songs, reading books is not possible."
