Gaddafi's son was released.

Hannibal Gaddafi, the son of Libya's former leader Muammar Gaddafi, has been released in Lebanon.

Musavat.com reports that the information was published by "Lebanon 24." It was noted that the Lebanese authorities released Hannibal Gaddafi, who had been detained since 2015, and lifted the ban on his departure from the country.

The court also announced that the previously set bail requirement of 11 million dollars for Hannibal Gaddafi's release has been canceled.

Hannibal Gaddafi was kidnapped by militants affiliated with the "Amal" movement while in political asylum in Syria in 2015 and was later handed over to Lebanese law enforcement agencies.

In 2017, he was accused of concealing information about the Shia imam Musa Sadr, who disappeared in 1978.

Libya's Government of National Unity has evaluated Gaddafi's release as a restoration of justice and a humanitarian step.
