On April 8, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Kazakhstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermek Kosherbayev and Minister of Transport Nurlan Sauranbayev.
According to Medianews.az, Ilham Aliyev happily emphasized that Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan bilateral relations are developing in the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood, stating that the mutual visits of the heads of state, the discussions held during these visits, the decisions adopted, as well as the visits of delegations at various levels from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan and from Kazakhstan to our country are bringing our peoples and countries closer together and strengthening the potential for mutual activity.
The head of state expressed hope that the opportunities of the joint investment fund will be fully utilized, highlighted that several projects are already in the development phase, and touched upon the potential of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to jointly invest in third countries.
The president expressed hope that the visit of Kazakhstan's ministers of foreign affairs and transport to Azerbaijan will be successful.
Expressing gratitude for the reception, Kazakhstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs said they felt honored to meet with the head of state.
Yermek Kosherbayev conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the head of state.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked for the greetings and asked to convey his greetings to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The guest emphasized that the President of Azerbaijan is highly respected in Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, it was noted with pleasure that relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are successfully developing in many fields, including political, economic, transport, logistics, investments, energy, as well as green energy and other directions, and it was stated that there are good opportunities to further expand cooperation.
During the conversation, the projects of the Middle Corridor, Trans-Caspian Green Energy Corridor, and fiber-optic line were mentioned, emphasizing the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in this framework.
The role of the normalization process of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the TRIPP project passing through Armenian territory in terms of regional cooperation and transport connections was noted.
The meeting also emphasized the successful partnership of our countries within international organizations and exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
