Amendments have been made to the "Requirements for Good Manufacturing Practice" approved by the Ministry of Health Collegium's Decision No. 1 dated January 11, 2018, and Decision No. 2 dated April 7, 2025, regarding the approval of certain normative legal acts regulating pharmaceutical activities.
According to Medianews.az, the Chairman of the Ministry of Health Collegium, Teymur Musayev, has signed the relevant decision in this regard.
According to the decision, pharmacists who have not worked continuously in their specialty for at least five years, including those who have higher or secondary specialized pharmaceutical education and who have not worked continuously in their specialty for at least five years after graduating from an educational institution, will be able to engage in pharmaceutical activities after undergoing training in educational institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Health and passing the certification exam in accordance with the Law "On the Protection of Population Health."
According to current legislation, pharmacists who have not worked continuously in their specialty for more than five years may engage in pharmaceutical activities after undergoing training in the relevant educational institutions.
Furthermore, the sale of medicinal products dispensed from pharmacies with or without a prescription, including other medical purpose goods, will be carried out by pharmacists with valid certification certificates in pharmaceutical specialties who have higher or secondary specialized education, in accordance with the requirements of the Law "On the Protection of Population Health."
The currently effective document states that the sale of medicinal products dispensed from pharmacies with a doctor's prescription is carried out by a specialist with pharmaceutical education who has passed certification in accordance with the Law "On the Protection of Population Health," and the sale of medicinal products dispensed without a prescription and other medical purpose goods is carried out by specialists with higher or secondary pharmaceutical education.
