In Pakistan, nearly 400 people have died and more than 190 people have been injured as a result of heavy rains and floods in the last 10 days.
Milli.Az reports that this information was released by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
"According to government sources, in the last 10 days in Pakistan, heavy rains and floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir have caused the deaths of 400 people and injuries to more than 190 people. More than 20,000 people have been left homeless," the office stated.
The UN Secretary-General's Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator, Tom Fletcher, has allocated 600,000 dollars for aid.
It was noted that during the current monsoon season, Pakistan has faced widespread destruction due to heavy rains and floods. According to officials, since June, 798 people have died and more than 1,000 people have been injured.
