As part of the operations against the criminal group known among the public as the "Daltons," another well-known figure of the organization has been captured.
Oxu.Az reports that the MMA fighter known by the nickname "Dalton Intizar," Intizar Babaniyazov, was taken to Turkey after being detained in Azerbaijan.
Babaniyazov, a Turkmenistan citizen, is alleged to have called citizens through various foreign GSM numbers demanding money, and when his demands were not met, he organized armed attacks on workplaces.
During the interrogation of Babaniyazov, who was brought to Istanbul and held in a police station, it was determined that he participated in a total of 6 separate crimes, including 2 threats and 4 armed assaults. The suspect is also alleged to be connected to the murder of Serdar Öktem.
After completing the procedures at the police station, Babaniyazov was interrogated by the prosecutor and then brought before a judge. A pre-trial detention measure was chosen for the suspect, and he was sent to prison.
