"In the last three years, consistent name and conceptual changes have been implemented in digital identification systems in Azerbaijan." Elvin Abbasov, chairman of the Azerbaijan Information and Communication Technologies Industry Association, said this in an interview with Medianews.az.

E. Abbasov stated that until 2022, access to government portals was provided through "ASAN Login": "In May 2024, the system was updated and presented under the brand "digital.login." In 2024–2025, this service will continue its operation under the name "myGov ID."
In the new phase, "myGov ID" creates a unified digital identification and secure access opportunity for citizens. Users can benefit from two-factor authentication, "QR login," and inter-mobile application transition functions through the "myGov" application. This approach is aimed at forming a unified authentication model between government and private sector systems."
E. Abbasov also noted that currently, many users cannot distinguish between the concepts of "digital access" and "digital signature": "Under such circumstances, name changes carried out consecutively for three years may create some confusion among citizens. Stability and proper communication in digital identification systems are especially important at this stage."
