In the talks in Islamabad, the US side failed to gain the trust of the Iranian delegation.
"Tasnim" reports that this was stated by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of the parliament who led the Iranian delegation in Islamabad.
“Before the talks, I emphasized that we have good intentions and necessary determination, but due to the experience of the previous two wars, we do not trust the other side. My colleagues in the Iranian delegation put forward 168 forward-looking initiatives, but the other side ultimately failed to gain the trust of the Iranian delegation in this round of talks. The US understood our logic and principles and must now decide whether it can earn our trust or not. We always regard diplomacy, alongside military struggle, as another means to ensure the rights of the Iranian people, and we will not suspend our efforts for a moment in strengthening the 40-day national defense achievements of the Iranian people. We highly appreciate the efforts of friendly and brotherly Pakistan in facilitating the negotiation process,” Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated./APA
