At least 2,122 people have been killed in the earthquake that struck Morocco and 2,421 have been injured, state-run broadcaster 2M said Sunday, APA reports citing CNN.
Rescuers warn the toll is still expected to rise.
The 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck late on Friday. It was the strongest quake to hit the region around the ancient city of Marrakech in a century, according to the US Geological Survey.
