The distribution of mandates in the National Assembly will be updated - EXCLUSIVE

Ramil Həsən, representing constituency No. 94 Ucar in the National Assembly, will hand over his mandate. He was elected Secretary-General of the Turkic States Parliamentary Assembly on June 12, and will begin his duties on October 15.

The Turkic States Organization includes Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. Hungary, Turkmenistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are observers in the organization. The Secretariat of the Turkic States Parliamentary Assembly is located in Baku.

Medianews.az reports that Ramil Həsən’s handing over of his mandate will also result in a renewal of mandate distribution in the National Assembly.

Ramil Həsən is a member of the New Azerbaijan Party. In the parliamentary elections held on September 1, 2024, 67 more mandates were obtained from the New Azerbaijan Party to the 125-member National Assembly.

The Civic Solidarity Party secured 3 mandates.

The Justice, Law, Democracy Party obtained 2 mandates.

Eight parties each obtained one mandate – the Great Azerbaijan Party, Republican Alternative Party, Democratic Reforms Party, Great Construction Party, Azerbaijan National Independence Party, Motherland Party, National Front Party, Azerbaijan Democratic Enlightenment Party.

44 mandates were allocated to non-party individuals.
