The results of the drug tests of the channel director and the presenter have been announced.

In Turkey, during a drug operation, journalist Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who was detained and arrested, tested positive in a drug test. Although Ersoy stated in his testimony, "I have never used drugs," cocaine and its metabolites were found in hair samples during the conducted expertise.

It has been reported that the host Ela Rumeysa Cebeci, who was released after being detained in the same operation and denied the allegations made against her, also tested positive in drug tests. According to the information, cannabis, synthetic drugs, cocaine, and its metabolites were detected in Cebeci’s hair samples. However, no findings related to drugs were recorded in the blood samples.

Milli.Az reports that the host Meltem Acet's drug test results were announced as negative. It has been learned that the results of five other people tested in the same investigation were positive.

Regarding the incident, it was stated that hair and blood samples were taken from Mehmet Akif Ersoy and the suspects at the Forensic Medicine Institution. According to the test results, although no drugs were detected in Ersoy’s blood, cocaine and its derivatives were identified in the hair analyses.

Within the scope of the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Public Prosecutor's Office, Mehmet Akif Ersoy and three other people were detained by the officers of the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command. Later, Ersoy was removed from his position as Chief Broadcast Director of Habertürk TV by TMSF.

A court decision was made to apply a pre-trial detention measure for Mehmet Akif Ersoy on charges of "providing an environment for drug use," "recruiting women around him into sexual relations to obtain material and sectoral gain," and "forming and managing a criminal organization."

It should be noted that hosts Ela Rumeysa Cebeci, Meltem Acet, and Hande Sarıoğlu were also detained in the same investigation and subsequently sent to the Forensic Medicine Institution.
