The town of Radicondoli, located in the Tuscany region of Italy, provides financial support to new residents to prevent population decline.
Medianews.az reports that the historic settlement has allocated approximately $30,000 in incentives for those wishing to move there.
Located an hour away from Florence, the population of Radicondoli has dropped from 3,000 to 966. Approximately 100 out of the 450 houses in the town are vacant. The municipality aims to fill these houses and promote long-term living.
According to the program, buyers must live in the town for at least 10 years, and renters for 4 years. Prices for small apartments start from 50,000 euros, while larger houses start from 100,000 euros. Rent fees are subsidized and reduced to up to 200 euros per month.
The municipal administration has allocated a budget of more than 400,000 euros for the project. The goal is to attract young people, increase economic activity, and improve the quality of life. According to official information, after the project was implemented, the population of the town began to show growth.
