In modern times, people spend less time in the kitchen. One of the main ways to save time on cooking is to prefer fast foods. Fast foods are already replacing traditional meals.

Medianews.az reports, referring to Publika.az, that the famous gastroenterologist Anastasia Andrianova spoke in an interview with "Gazeta" about whether the consumption of such foods is safe or not.

"Special fast-prepared meals usually consist of packaged noodles or potatoes, dried vegetables, and spicy broth. These types of foods should not be consumed frequently and regularly because they contain substances that can negatively affect the body. Trans fats and saturated fatty acids increase the risk of atherosclerosis, cardiovascular diseases, including coronary heart disease. Preservatives and phosphate compounds in these foods can increase the risk of kidney and more severe heart diseases," the doctor noted.

It was also emphasized that the spices added to fast foods often contain flavor enhancers used as stabilizers. Regularly including such substances in the diet can disrupt carbohydrate metabolism in the body. This, in turn, leads to weight gain over time or the development of type 2 diabetes.

The specialist noted that instead of ready-made foods or fast-prepared packaged meals, sandwiches made with low-fat cheese, boiled chicken breast, and greens can be used between slices of bread. When bringing food to the office in a small container, you can also sometimes include berries or cottage cheese alongside it.
