The civil lawsuit between actress Nərmin Əhmədova and the Azerbaijan State Puppet Theater named after Abdulla Şaiq has been concluded.
According to "Qafqazinfo," the Baku Court of Appeal announced its final decision yesterday.
The plaintiff in this case is Nərmin Əhmədova. In May of last year, the actress filed a complaint to the Sabail District Court to cancel the severe reprimand order given to her by the theater director Rəşad Əhmədzadə. In addition, she demanded 10,000 manats in compensation for moral damages.
Although the defendant party did not participate in the court, they requested that the complaint be dismissed. The order concerning the severe reprimand submitted to the court states that Nərmin Əhmədova repeatedly caused unrest with the theater management and other staff, spoke threateningly, and used unethical language during disputes. Moreover, despite repeated warnings during her employment, she disregarded them. The last time, the actress disputed with the management regarding the removal of a photo of her placed in the theater lobby. For all these reasons, she was issued a severe reprimand.
N. Əhmədova did not agree with the content of the order in court and stated that she was unfairly given a severe reprimand. She said that director Rəşad Əhmədzadə spoke to her rudely, and that she had never been subjected to any disciplinary action before.
After reviewing the case, the Sabail District Court found the actress's dissatisfaction with the severe reprimand justified. The judge partially granted the claim. The severe reprimand order given to Nərmin Əhmədova was revoked. However, the claim for 10,000 manats as compensation for moral damages was rejected.
The decision of the Sabail District Court was also upheld by the appellate instance yesterday.
It should be noted that Səidə Haqverdiyeva, the theater's stage director and former wife of Rəşad Əhmədzadə, had previously announced her decision to divorce, stating that she had faced pressures against her. According to her claim, there were individuals in the theater who exerted pressure against her family.
