New rules have been implemented for passenger transportation by taxis in the Heydar Aliyev International Airport area.
Medianews.az reports that this was stated by the Press Service of the "Uber" taxi company in response to a query from Oxu.Az.
It was noted that the main goal of enforcing the new rules is to make travel from the airport to the city as comfortable and high-quality as possible:
"In our application, a separate order category will be created for trips from the airport to the city. Passengers will be able to order modern cars. Also, passengers will travel with drivers who have passed all technical and medical inspections, work in reliable taxi parks, and speak foreign languages."
The information added that only cars and drivers who have passed all necessary technical and medical inspections will be able to fulfill these orders:
"Orders from the city to the airport remain unlimited. As before, all drivers can accept these orders."
Previously, the "Bolt" taxi service also stated that it would implement new rules in its operations at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
It was noted that taxi services in the Heydar Aliyev International Airport area will only be carried out with new vehicles that meet modern requirements and are fully compliant with the legislation:
"For this purpose, a special order category related to the airport has been introduced in the "Bolt" application. Passengers ordering from the airport will be provided with high-level service with comfortable and convenient cars and the participation of drivers who speak foreign languages.
Only cars and drivers who have passed technical and medical inspections and belong to reliable taxi parks will be allowed to operate."
The information added that no restrictions are applied to taxi orders in the direction from the city to the airport.
Recall that a few days ago, claims were spread that as of September 8, it would not be possible to order taxis online from Heydar Aliyev International Airport and that only "London taxis" would operate.
On September 9, Heydar Aliyev International Airport, as well as the Azerbaijan Surface Transport Agency (AYNA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, made a statement on the matter, emphasizing the necessity for taxi operators operating at the airport to provide services in accordance with unified, quality, and regulated service standards.
