The Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, the new world order

Azerbaijan is hosting the next summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Gabala. It is a positive development that, considering the existing infrastructure, such historically significant events are now being held in the regions of Azerbaijan.

Let us also recall that this organization, established 16 years ago in Nakhchivan, aimed at the expansion of the Turkic geography and contributing to stability in the region and the world.

When this union was created, Azerbaijan and Turkey formed the core of the Organization of Turkic States. There were certain hesitations at times in the Central Asian republics. However, the Second Karabakh War, Azerbaijan’s historic victory, sparked the beginning of a new era in the Turkic world.

Observations show that in both the societies and official structures of the Central Asian republics, interest and confidence in deepening integration among the Turkic states have increased.

The course of history shows that a very different process is taking place in the world. Today, as a continuation of geopolitical processes, under the dictates of conditions created by historical reality, cooperation among Turkic-speaking countries has considerably deepened. In fact, the goals of the Organization of Turkic States have strategic importance for a large geography.

Despite all the political and economic tensions worldwide, this unity and strategic goals of the Turkic states serve the formation of a new world order. The new world order is a strategy of deepening security, stability, and sustainable development under conditions of equal cooperation along the line of the Organization of Turkic States.

Indeed, effective utilization of the existing resources of this expanding organization, and proper use of emerging situations, may open new opportunities for the Turkic world to transform into a global power center. Overall, the expansion of Turkic geography would contribute to stability and development in the region and the world.
