Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan went to Moscow to participate in the "International Atom Week" conference.

Regarding the matter, political analyst Elkhan Shahinoglu told Medianews.az that after Russia started an aggressive war of invasion against Ukraine, the number of its partners has decreased: "To eliminate this perception, Kremlin tries to hold various international events in Russia. The 'International Atom Week' conference also serves this purpose.
Russian President Vladimir Putin invited Nikol Pashinyan to the event, and by attending this event, the Prime Minister of Armenia will try to show that relations between the two countries are normal. Because his opponents accuse Pashinyan of turning away from Armenia’s traditional ally Russia and deepening cooperation with the West in the field of security.”
E. Shahinoglu recalled that in a statement made in June, Nikol Pashinyan said Armenia might leave the Collective Security Treaty Organization: "This statement caused concern in Russia’s political circles. Pashinyan’s declarations about EU membership could not help but worry the Kremlin.
Russian officials put Pashinyan before a choice: "Either the Eurasian Economic Union or the European Union."
Later, Pashinyan corrected his position regarding EU membership and said that his country would continue its membership in the Eurasian Economic Union as before.
In my opinion, Pashinyan will freeze the issue of leaving the Collective Security Treaty Organization until the parliamentary elections in Armenia. Otherwise, the Kremlin will initiate its plan to destabilize Armenia. Therefore, Pashinyan will try not to provoke the Kremlin until the parliamentary elections. His participation in the conference in Moscow and Vladimir Putin shaking his hand once again will also indicate this.”
