"There are forces within Armenia that want to disrupt peace with Azerbaijan. These forces still do not understand the true essence of the matter," AZERTAC reports, quoting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
On August 8, the Prime Minister also responded to forces trying to undermine the declaration reached in Washington: "The peace declaration was signed, and they said this is only a declaration. But no one mentions that since 1994 there has been a negotiation process regarding the Karabakh issue and there has never been any document draft other than the declaration draft regarding the Karabakh issue. If the declaration is such an easy thing, then why have we been focusing all the energy and agenda of this state and people on that declaration for 30 years?"
"Peace has been established. This was beyond the programs of many, and now they are trying to disrupt this peace. It is impossible not to see that there are forces with such interests both in Armenia and abroad, near and far. Contrary to those who want to develop the established peace from this point toward institutional destruction, we must develop it toward institutional progress. No one will be able to hinder us on this path," emphasized N. Pashinyan.
