The United States is intensifying sanctions supporting actions against the ruling regime in Iran. According to information released on January 13, the US will impose a 25 percent customs duty on all countries trading with Iran.
This decision also applies to Azerbaijan. Currently, Azerbaijani products enter the US with a 10 percent duty.
Medianews.az reports that from January to November 2025, the US ranked fifth among Azerbaijan's main trading partners. Of the trade turnover, $1,308.8 million belonged to US exports, and $56.2 million to Azerbaijani exports.
In trade with Iran, from January to November 2025, exports amounted to $9.4 million and imports to $558.7 million.
