September 10, 2025 – While the "American Comeback Tour" event was taking place at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck. The incident occurred live and the entire country witnessed it in real time.

Moment of the attack – When gunshots were heard, Kirk was on stage, suffering a gunshot wound to the neck and remained covered in blood. The crowd panicked, and the event was immediately halted.

Investigations – The attack was carried out by a suspect who fired from a distance of 200 meters. The suspect was detained; FBI and ATF launched investigations. The university was closed.

Initial information – After the attack, conflicting reports spread: some medical sources said Kirk was alive, but the Associated Press, Utah state speaker, and U.S. House speaker Mike Johnson confirmed the death news. A minute of silence was observed in the Congress hall in memory of Kirk.
