Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia to discuss int'l transport corridor

Representatives of the Azerbaijani, Iranian and Russian governments will discuss the international transport corridor North-South at a trilateral meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Azerbaijan Seyed Abbas Mousavi said. “At the Iran-Azerbaijan-Russia trilateral meeting, transit and customs issues, diversification of the routes of the North-South international transport corridor, as well as the current status of the railway terminal and projects of new border bridges will be discussed,” the ambassador said. The ambassador noted that transit and customs issues between the three countries will also be discussed at the mentioned meeting. Mousavi added that Iran’s Astara is one of the main and important parts of the INSTC. With the completion of work within the projects being implemented in Astara, its regional and international importance will reveal itself even more. However, the Iranian envoy did not announce the date of the meeting.
