Azerbaijani culture has faced a great loss. The 73-year-old Honored Artist, well-known actor Vahid Aliyev has passed away.
Upon hearing the news of the late's death, fellow artists went to the artist's home to share their grief.
Actor Ədalət Əbdülsəməd shared his feelings about the passing of the Honored Artist:
"This is a very sad day for us. Our theater's actor, the republic's Honored Artist, our friend and fellow artist Vahid Aliyev has passed away. We were all together at rehearsal. We heard this news at the theater and were very shocked. We quickly made our way here."
Actor Anar Seyfullayev also expressed his sorrow:
"May God have mercy on teacher Vahid. He was our colleague, our elder. We are very saddened. We wish patience to his family. May his soul rest in peace. God have mercy."
Actor Rəşad Səfərov spoke about the late artist's love for poetry:
"God rest his soul, he was a very beautiful artist. He treated elders like elders, and the young like the young. He loved poetry very much. Once we met in the metro, and talked until the 'Sahil' station. He was a person with a full heart, wrote very beautiful poems. Azerbaijani cinema has suffered a great loss. God rest his soul."
