Russia in the gasoline vortex

Ukraine's counterattacks on Russian territory with unmanned aerial vehicles have weakened the country's oil refining capacity by 17 percent. According to Medianews.az, the "Reuters" agency calculated and reported that daily oil processing has decreased by 1.1 million barrels.

It is emphasized that the attacks on 10 oil refineries have created obstacles to oil processing and exports, leading to gasoline shortages in many regions of the country.

Considering the high demand for fuel during the peak season of tourism and agriculture, Russia sharply restricted the export of AI-95 grade gasoline in July; however, the consequences of the attacks on oil refineries nullified the effect of this step, and the situation in the domestic market has worsened.

In February 2014, Western-aligned forces came to power in Ukraine as a result of a wave of revolution. Russia immediately seized the Crimean Peninsula and annexed it on March 18, then occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, establishing occupying regimes. On February 24, 2022, Russia launched total military operations, and on October 5, announced it had annexed the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

The occupying war has encompassed other regions, accompanied by destructive attacks throughout the country.
