How much have problematic loans increased since the beginning of the year?

The Central Bank reported past-due loans amounting to 528.1 million manat as of October 1.

Medianews.az reminds that compared to the beginning of the year, past-due loans are 79 million manat more. The year 2025 started with 449.1 million manat in problematic loans.

Official statistics recorded problematic loans amounting to 976.3 million manat in 2015. The devaluations of that year increased problematic loans. Problematic loans were formalized as 1 billion 508.5 million manat in 2016, 1 billion 472.6 million manat in 2017, 1 billion 626.7 million manat in 2018, and 1 billion 585 million manat in 2019.

In 2019, the government provided devaluation compensations to individuals for loan contracts concluded as of January 1, 2012.

Past-due loans were 1 billion 273.1 million manat in 2020, 893.1 million manat in 2021, 719.4 million manat in 2022, 593.7 million manat in 2023, and 437.8 million manat in 2024.
