World-famous footballer Oscar, who plays for Brazil's "San Paulo" club, fainted during training due to a sudden heart rhythm disorder.
Medianews.az, citing Musavat.com, reports that the player received initial medical assistance on the field and was later hospitalized.
According to the club's information, the 34-year-old footballer's condition is currently stable, and he is under medical supervision for additional examinations.
The official statement from the "San Paulo" club reads:
"During examinations conducted on Tuesday morning at the SuperCT base as part of preparations for the 2026 season, some irregularities were detected in footballer Oscar's heart rhythm. The club's medical staff and specialists from the Einstein Hospital intervened immediately. Oscar was transferred to the hospital, his condition is clinically stable, and additional tests are being performed to clarify the diagnosis."
The club stated that respect will be shown for the footballer's private life and that only new information confirmed by the medical staff will be shared with the public.
