How much water should we drink per day? - A SIMPLE FORMULA from a Russian doctor

It is possible to calculate how much water you should drink daily using a simple formula.

Oxu.Az reports that Russian gastroenterologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences Vladimir Neronov stated this in an interview with Championat.com.

According to the specialist, the recommended daily fluid intake for adults is 30-35 milliliters per kilogram of body weight.

Based on this calculation, the optimal daily fluid volume for a person weighing 70 kilograms ranges between 2.1-2.5 liters. Neronov noted that this amount includes not only pure water but also fluids obtained from soups, vegetables, and fruits.

The doctor emphasized that in some cases, the daily norm should be increased.

"With increased physical activity, hot weather conditions, fever, diarrhea, or when taking diuretic medications, fluid intake should be increased by an additional 0.5-1 liter. At the same time, in some chronic diseases such as kidney or heart failure, the amount of fluid consumed must necessarily be regulated by the treating physician," Vladimir Neronov said.
