ATTENTION! Programs of Armenian origin are being used in Azerbaijan – List

Tech blogger Farid Perdeshunas made a sensational statement.

According to Medianews.az, on October 8, F. Perdeshunas wrote on his Facebook account:

“Several software applications of Armenian origin are actively used in Azerbaijan. Users often do not even know that these applications belong to Armenians.

The programs may offer good features, but inherently pose a serious threat to the data of our citizens. For example, the photo editing application "Picsart" requests access to the device’s gallery and files.

Imagine, no matter how much the company demonstrates "impartiality" and "professionalism," an ordinary biased engineer can still interfere with this data. That means the human factor is very important here.

For this reason, I recommend that you avoid the applications I mention below and use the alternatives shown instead:

"Picsart" – origin: Armenia — as an alternative, use Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut.

"Renderforest" – origin: Armenia — as an alternative, use Envato Placeit and FlexClip.

"SoloLearn" – origin: Armenia — as an alternative, use Codecademy and freeCodeCamp.

"Krisp" – origin: Armenia — as an alternative, use NVIDIA Broadcast and Zoom/Google Meet voice filtering.

"Zangi" messenger – origin: Armenia — as an alternative, use Signal or Wire.

My aim is not to condemn these solutions. The main purpose is data security, which is a very serious issue. Those who use these applications should be careful and switch to more reliable alternatives.”
