Medianews.az, citing Publika.az, reports that the DPRK leader has banned the use of the words "hamburger," "karaoke," and "ice cream" because he considers them to be of Western origin. Kim Jong Un has called on everyone to replace these words with local terms.

The publication wrote that tourist guides accepting tourists from Russia and China at the Wonsan resort are already being given instructions. They are instructed to avoid Anglicization popular in the West and neighboring South Korea.

"From now on, the word 'hamburger' will be replaced by dajin-gogi gyeopppang (double-layered bread with minced meat), and 'ice cream' will be replaced by eseukimo. Karaoke machines, which are widespread in South Korea, will henceforth be called 'screen machines'," the publication wrote.
