GDP growth in Azerbaijan: What problem do the figures indicate?

According to the report of the State Statistics Committee, the gross domestic product (GDP) in Azerbaijan increased by 1 percent in January-August 2025.

Medianews.az reports that excluding the years 2011 and 2017, the 1 percent figure is the lowest indicator of GDP growth in Azerbaijan. Specifically, in 2011, GDP in Azerbaijan increased by 0.1 percent, and in 2017 by 0.2 percent.
