Azerbaijani oil is declining

On December 17, the price of a barrel of Azerbaijani oil branded "AzeriLight" dropped to 62.45 dollars.

Medianews.az reports that this is 3.77 dollars lower than the starting price of the month.

In Azerbaijan's 2025 budget, a barrel of oil is priced at 70 dollars, with "AzeriLight" starting January at 79, February at 78.52, March at 75.68, April at 78.29, May at 65.13, June at 68.82, July at 72.01, August at 72.70, September at 70.54, October at 69.86, November at 65.87, and December at 66.22 dollars.

The exporters' international coalition has determined the daily crude oil production quota for Azerbaijan to be 551 thousand barrels.

In January-November 2025, 25.3 million tons of oil were extracted domestically, and crude oil and crude oil products worth 11.5 billion dollars were exported abroad.
