The resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is possible through the joint efforts of the international community. This is its general responsibility, reads a statement by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the occasion of Human Rights Day celebrated on December 10 around the world, Report informs.
“The ongoing inhumane attacks in Gaza deal a huge blow not only to the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people, but also to the shared values of all humanity. The failure to stop this drama so far speaks of the weakness of the international system. It is the common responsibility of all countries in order not to carry this shame into the future to take joint measures to stop the massacre of civilians in Gaza and ensure lasting peace, the document says.
Fidan assured that Türkiye, in matters of conflict resolution, will interact with all members of the international community who value human dignity, have conscience and morality.
He confirmed Ankara’s position on the need to resolve the Palestinian problem based on the creation of an independent State of Palestine within the 1967 borders with its capital in East Jerusalem.
