In the upcoming year, Hungary will purchase 275 million cubic meters of natural gas from Türkiye, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijártó said, APA reports.
Following the discussions between Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Budapest, an agreement for gas purchase was signed, as stated by the Minister.
“We have successfully concluded the negotiations with the Turkish ‘Botaş’ company on the contract. According to it, we will purchase 275 million cubic meters of gas during the summer months of the coming year,” the minister stated.
Szijártó also noted that during the meeting between Orban and Erdogan, discussions took place regarding the Ukraine conflict and the ratification of documents related to Sweden’s accession to NATO by the parliaments of both countries.
