In particular, during his visit to our country to participate in the Non-Aligned Movement’s Ministerial Meeting held in early July, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, fondly recalled his meeting with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
During the telephone conversation, it was emphasized that the implementation of bilateral and regional agreements achieved in the economic and transportation sectors is crucial.

Furthermore, attention was drawn to the fact that the recent allegations concerning the humanitarian situation around the Lachin road and in the region are nothing more than political manipulations. It was emphasized that Armenia must put an end to provocations in the region and show respect for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, both in words and in actions.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, while discussing Islamic solidarity, also strongly condemned the recent disrespectful actions against the Quran in some Scandinavian countries. He emphasized that Azerbaijan firmly denounces such steps targeting Islam and underlined the importance of refraining from actions that target the Islamic religion.
