One of the former prime ministers of Italy, the leader of the Forza Italia (FI) party, Silvio Berlusconi, has created an agenda for the emergence of a new audio recording in which he evaluates the Russian-Ukrainian war and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
Medianews.az informs that Berlusconi, whose close friendship with Russian President Vladimir Putin is known to everyone, and who drew attention to the media with his audio recording saying “yesterday I gave him a gift and contacted Putin again”, has come to the fore again today.
According to a new audio recording published by the Italian media, Berlusconi reiterated his earlier thesis that Russia was being “pushed to war,” saying, “Zelensky comes to power (in Ukraine) and the attacks triple. Putin was under pressure in Russia: “He must conduct an operation. He entered Ukraine and from the third day he encountered unexpected resistance from the Ukrainians, who started buying money and weapons from the West. This turned from a two-week operation into a war,” he said.
In the said recording, Berlusconi also said, “I can’t foresee how Putin and Zelensky can be brought together at the mediation table. Because it’s impossible. I think Zelensky… Anyway, I can’t say that.”
Berlusconi’s words against Zelensky caused controversy in the country on the eve of the formation of the government.
