The Georgian breakaway region of South Ossetia has scheduled a referendum on the unification with Russia for July 17, APA reports citing TASS.
In this regard, the current head of the separatists Anatoly Bibilov appointed a referendum.
The corresponding decree was published on the website of the head of “South Ossetia”.
Bibilov’s administration explained that the Supreme Court of “South Ossetia” has already considered the package of documents related to the referendum and gave a positive result.
