Türkiye strongly condemns the establishment of the “Nemesis Monument” in Yerevan in the early 1920s, which was dedicated to those who conspired against Ottoman political and military authorities, as well as Azerbaijani officials, during the time, said the Turkish Foreign Ministry in a statement, APA’s Istanbul correspondent reports.
“The presentation of this event in the Armenian press also demonstrates that the distorted and unverifiable interpretation of history persists in some minds,” it was said.
Noted that such provocative actions, which are incompatible with the spirit of the normalization process between Türkiye and Armenia, will not contribute to efforts to achieve long-term peace and stability in the region, but will have the opposite effect.
