Georgia attaches great importance to relation with Azerbaijan and hopes that it will deepen and become more dynamic, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Alexander Khvtisiashvili said at the opening ceremony of the “Road to the Future” exhibition dedicated to the memory of a great leader Heydar Aliyev in Tbilisi.
“I am confident that we will further deepen the connections established by Heydar Aliyev in various fields, as well as plan new ideas and directions for cooperation. I wish the people of Azerbaijan peace and tranquility,” he noted.
According to the MFA official, Heydar Aliyev was a genius politician and the founder of the new Azerbaijani state.
He said that the great leader is a friend of Georgia:
“Heydar Aliyev strengthened the centuries-old relations between the Georgian and Azerbaijani peoples.”
