Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov met with Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Belarus Igor Nazaruk, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, it was especially emphasized that high-level dialogues give an impetus to the expansion of mutual activities between the two countries, the strengthening of the established strategic partnership relations and the development of dynamic cooperation.
The deputy ministers discussed political, economic-trade, cultural-humanitarian issues, mutual, as well as multilateral cooperation within international and regional organizations.
They expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics observed in all areas of bilateral relations, and discussed joint projects and initiatives.
The activity of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus in deepening bilateral economic relations, identifying new promising directions of cooperation and establishing them at the legal level was especially noted.
It was emphasized that the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), hosted by Azerbaijan, creates a favorable opportunity for new areas of cooperation, and the Azerbaijani side provided information about the organization of this prestigious event.
